Origin: Madagascar

Cultivated for more than a century in Madagascar, the black pepper that I offer you benefits from a rich taste specific to the environment in which its vine grew, surrounded by immense shaded trees and plants with extraordinary flavors.

Madagascar pepper is mainly grown in the Sambirano region, in the east of the island. Its vine grows in a forest environment, which allows it to feed on the humus on the surface.

The pepper tree flowers twice a year (from July to September and from January to March).

3 months after flowering, the clusters appear. It is harvested approximately 7 months after flowering, then it will then be dried on raffia, by the wind and the sun for 2 to 3 weeks.

This pepper has been the subject of several sortings in order to retain only the grains whose density guarantees the best aromas.

Directions for use: it goes well with all types of dishes, and can even withstand cooking, but be careful, like all peppers, its flavors remain intact when it is ground directly on your plate.
