Slavery in all its forms

Servitude has existed since the earliest times of humanity. Just like the oldest profession in the world, it appeared during an already evolved phase of the economy. From a certain moment, man no longer killed his enemy. Rather than eliminating it or consuming it (anthropophagy was a frequent custom), he said to himself that it would be more useful for him to transform it into an auxiliary worker who would allow him to improve his standard of living.

Slavery was practiced all over the world, both in Asia among nomadic tribes, in the Chinese Empire, among American Indians and in sedentary societies....

There are numerous references to slavery in the Old and New Testaments as well as in the Koran. But these revealed Books never condemn this institution.
