• The handle:

To our knowledge, this is the only toothbrush made of beech wood. This wood is very resistant to bending without being brittle. To make it as pleasant as possible to use, the shape has been worked on a lot to be ergonomic and has been sanded to soften its angles. Then, the wood is lightly oiled with natural castor oil to perfectly resist humidity during its period of use.

• The hairs:

Available in 2 hardnesses, just like the handles, the bristles are unique, instead of being nylon like most toothbrushes, they are made of badger hair or pig bristle. Beyond being 100% natural, pig bristles have the particularity of being very soft or perhaps too soft for some people. We recommend this model to people with sensitive gums or rheumatoid arthritis . Those in badger hair have a more standard hardness, which can be described as medium.

In both cases, they are fully biodegradable like the rest of the brush. Usually to compost with an ecological toothbrush, it is at least necessary to cut the head to make compost here, the toothbrush is fully compostable. If you lose it in nature, it will degrade completely to become part of nature again.
