The limequat is a cross between a kumquat and a lemon tree.

Limequats are sometimes eaten whole, using the sweet skin and tart pulp, or used in culinary preparations, jams or liqueurs. This citrus fruit is also valued for its resistance to lower temperatures compared to other citrus varieties.
