EDEM 60 paintable non-woven wallpaper made of high-quality cellulose and textile fibers, 100% pure and breathable, this first prize in our non-woven range is perfectly suited to renovation work as well as to reinforce smooth wall surfaces. This thin non-woven fabric is only suitable for use on very well coated and polished placo walls, and for smooth concrete surfaces, respecting quality class Q4. EDEM 60 paintable non-woven wallpaper can be used to cover cracks, and is ideal for a subsequent coat of paint or a second coat of wallpaper. This 1.06 m wide double-width wallpaper also allows you to quickly and efficiently wallpaper large wall surfaces.

For comparison, a sheet of normal writing paper has a thickness of 80 g/m2. We therefore recommend that our customers request samples of our different weights to be able to judge for themselves.

PREPARATION AND APPLICATION

For a perfect result, walls and ceilings should ideally be prepared with an adhesion primer, or at least a bonding primer. The application of a suitable undercoat improves the absorbency and solidity of the support and also ensures a uniform color of the surface. EDEM 60 non-woven wallpaper can be glued directly to walls prepared with special non-woven wallpaper glue, without prior soaking. It is also possible to use a gluing machine. When surfaces are well prepared, the paint adheres to the non-woven fabric and does not penetrate the support, which could lead to the formation of stains and require additional coats of paint.

Please note: Using ready-to-use non-woven adhesive allows you to coat the walls permanently. If the wallpaper must be dry removable from the wall, please use special non-woven wallpaper powder glue.

The non-woven wallpaper EDEM 60 has very good alignment characteristics and can be used by all, even less experienced DIYers. You will get perfectly smooth surfaces with added protection against cracks on walls and ceilings. Unlike fiberglass, this material is skin-friendly, breathable and dry-stripable. It can be repainted several times with commercial dispersion or latex paints, and can serve as a support for another layer of wallpaper or a decorative coating.
