Miscanthus reed shavings litter for horses

EQUIBOX STANDARD 100% plant-based litter comes from miscanthus reed crops from our French plantations.
Our farmers grow our sterile and non-invasive reed without fertilizer or pesticides and earn a fair income from its cultivation.

Advantages of EQUIBOX STANDARD reed litter :

• 100% natural:
  Exclusively composed of natural plant fibers (Reeds), without added chemical additives. This litter is therefore very environmentally friendly.
• Biodegradable:
  This litter is compostable and biodegradable in 4 months in the open air like dead leaves.
• Absorbent:
  The texture of the reed allows it to absorb up to twice its weight in liquid. Miscanthus Green Care EQUIBOX STANDARD litter is therefore more economical than chemical litter. Due to its weight, our product helps keep the sole of the hoof without accumulation of manure. The absorption of liquids is optimal, all allowing savings in litter maintenance.
• Dusted:
  This natural litter has a very low dust rate. It is appreciated by horses and ponies for its pleasant texture and its stability under the hooves. EQUIBOX STANDARD is perfectly suited for equines with allergies, stress and respiratory problems.
• Non-palatable:
  The high level of natural silica makes the product non-palatable for horses. EQUIBOX STANDARD is ideal for bulimic horses and ponies. Reduced risk of colic.
• Natural manure:
  The volume of manure will be reduced, the compost more concentrated and richer. You can use the agglomerates as manure for your flower, vegetable and fruit plantations.
• Easy handling:
  You will appreciate the easy and practical use of the bag.
• Time saving :
  This litter lasts twice as long as litter made from wheat straw. And, it is not necessary to empty the entire box.

Usage tips :

Cover the floor of the box to a height of approximately 15 cm.
You will need to renew the soiled areas regularly and add new litter as needed. 1 bag = 1 m2 for 4 weeks.
